The Adventure Begins!

Bartido he looks over his shoulder quickly and laughs before looking ahead again. He reaches the tavern first.

"I win!"

Akihiro catches up. "You have won but one event of the night. I can still out drink you!"

"Not tonight! I'll win this time!!" He walks into the tavern

"We'll see about that!" Akihiro entered the room and took a seat at a vacant table. "Oi! Pretty lady behind the bar! Get me the strongest rum you got!"

"Same here!"

The bartender gets them their drinks and as their contest begins they overhear a conversation.

"I heard that the Cross Rose has docked here and that the captain is wandering around the town."

One of the men laugh. "A likely story, but then how would anyone know? The captain of that ship has never been seen! Top that off but why would a ship like that dock here?"

"Who knows? All I heard was-"

"Listen to them, Bar, they all talk crazy in here. Why do we keep coming back? Besides the wonderful ladies of course!"

He shrugs. "I dunno, but then, how cool would it be if they were speaking the truth? I mean how would it be to see the Cross Rose in person?" He finishes his drink in one sip and asks for another.

"Hm.. i say, if you dont manage to pass out this time, we go investigate this Cross Rose chick." Akihiro gulped his drink down, also asking for another.

"You do know Cross Rose is the name of a ship right...and I won't pass out this time!" He gulps his drink and again asks for another.

"Arent all ships a chick? Have YOU ever met one that was male? I sure haven't." Gulps his drink down and asks the barmaid for four more.

"Looks like you wont be on your feet long."

"That's what you think!" he gulps down his drink and asks for more just as Kiku walks by their table.

"It is what i think and your already- " he pauses and looks at Kiku.

"Hello, pretty lady. May i interest you in some friendly drinking?" he asks as he finishes the drink in his hand.

Kiku pauses and looks at Akihiro. "Hmm, why not, thank you for the invitation." sits down at the table with them.

Bartido just gulps down another drink.

Akihiro pases her one of his ordering more from the barmaid. He slurped another two down.

"I'm one up on you now Bar. Perhaps you should call it quits before you pass out again eh?"

Turning to Kiku. "I'm Akihiro. You are?"

Bartido just glares and gulps down three more.

Kiku takes the drink and nods in thanks. "I prefer to keep my name to myself." She takes a sip of the drink.

Akihiro laughs at her. "Secretive woman aren't we now?" Akihiro's drinks arrive and he drinks a few more down to match Bartido.

"What's wrong Bar? You aren't talkin' much."

"I'm just trying to concentrate on beating you is all." He gulps down two more drinks.

Kiku chuckles. "Competitive are we? I take this is normal."

"Well your concentrating on the wrong thing. Instead of solely on beating me you should be looking at my stack of drinks." Akihiro said pointing to the rather large pile of empty glasses.

He looked at Kiku. "Perfectly normal. I outdrink him everytime though."

Kiku chuckles again and takes another sip of her drink. Bar just continues to chug down drink after drink.

Arashi walks over and stands beside Kiku. "We are ready to leave as soon as you are, captain."

Kiku sighs and stands up putting her drink on the table. "I thank you for the drink but now I must be heading out."

"Nice drinkin' with ya, pretty lady." Akihiro nods to her and begins drinking down drinks much the same as Bartido.

"You arent gonna win Bartido!"

Kiku nods in return and heads of Arashi following behind.

Bar slams another empty cup on the table. "Yes I will!!" He grabs another drink a chugs it down.

'I've got an idea... hehe..'

Akihiro drinks down his next drink with a smirk and before he can put it down collapses onto the table.

"...did I actually just win?!? HA!" He puts down the cup he'd been holding, puts a hand to his mouth, and rushes off.

Akihiro sat up and laughed at Bar. He began sipping another drink and decided to wait and see it he came back.

after a couple minutes Bar finally comes back, grabs an empty cup, and tosses it at Hiro. "You suck!" He flops down back into his chair.
